United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley celebrated 70 years of Living United on Thursday, February 18th at the Corron Community Development Center at Lord Fairfax Community College in Middletown, VA.

This celebration combined awards for outstanding dedication and work with United Way and the induction and celebration of current and former board members.

In addition to the Youth Volunteer of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards, three new awards were given this year for the first time, including “Rookie of the Year”, “Campaign Volunteer of the Year” and “Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year.”

TWG Insurance’s Marketing Director, Donna Berger was the recipient of the “Rookie of the Year” award.

Donna was recognized for her extraordinary commitment, strong leadership and for making a significant impact in the areas of giving, advocating and volunteering with United Way NSV, and for demonstrating the United Way values in a personal and professional capacity.

TWG’s President, Gary Nichols received a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his service as Commerce/Small Business Chair for the 2015 United Way Campaign.

It was also with great honor and privilege that TWG Insurance was named the recipient of a GOLD award for outstanding service to the people of this community.
